The Gerar Half Marathon has become a traditional event among runners in Romania, being for a long time the first running competition of the year.

Organized by the RO CLUB MARATON Sports Club Association and People for Sport Romania together with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, in partnership with the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest and the Bucharest Running Club Association, the Gerar Half Marathon aims to promote outdoor running, in any weather conditions.
